Trash Amps LLC Is Rocking The World Of Old Soda Cans

by Andrew Krauss on December 6, 2011

Recycling is the act of turning something old or used into something new. It is one of the keys to a sustainable future. It prevents habitat destruction and loss of biodiversity, leaving the environment in its natural state.

Recycling waste also lowers the energy output that is required to produce new products. This means that less green house gases and waste by-products are being added to the environment.

Saving the environment is a fantastic idea, and it can be even more rewarding when one can make a living out of it in a really simple yet brilliant way. That’s what entrepreneur Adam Wegener is doing. He is taking the recycling concept a notch up with his company Trash Amps, LLC, based in Sunnyvale, California.

This young company turns everyday objects such as old soda cans into portable speakers for MP3 players, guitars and pretty much anything you can plug headphones into. Adam is “trying to get people thinking about new uses for things we normally throw away”.  Trash Amp’s fun and clever portable speakers are an inspiring product that can help to take consumer behavior in the right direction; finding ways to give existing used / old products a new function and life while supporting small local businesses.
